We are a group of devout believers who seek to fulfill the Lord’s Great Commission in the proclamation of the gospel (Mat.28:19-20[ Mat.28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”]). We share Paul’s desire that the word of God may dwell richly in every believer’s heart (Col.3:16[ Col.3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.]), for God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. In a world of temptation, our hope is that every believer may be rooted in the word of God and not be led astray.
With advances in information technology, computing has become a major part of home entertainment. Many people spend hours surfing the Internet to find something to fill a void in their lives. Unfortunately, more evil than good has a way of creeping into our homes through the Internet. No one, not even believers, are immune from this subtle infiltration. To fight this trend, we aim to develop Bible software tools that stimulate people’s interest in finding the precious treasures in the word of God.
We want to love our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our strength (Deut.6:5[ Deut.6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.])—which the Lord Jesus says is the greatest commandment (Mat.22:37-38[ Mat.22:37-38 Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.]).
But how can we follow this commandment wholeheartedly unless we first love the word of God? Only when His word takes root in our hearts can we truly say that we love God with all our being. The world is populated with believers. If we should ask them whether they would like to deepen their communion with God, many would immediately say “yes”. But if we should ask them whether they are willing to spend time to study God’s word, to seek the truth, and to live by it, many will withdraw and walk away.
The Lord has convicted our hearts to see the famine in the word of God in the last days (Amos 8:11[ Amos 8:11 “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD , “when I will send a famine through the land- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD .] ). Working under this conviction, we have developed our first Bible tool, Eagle’s View, so that anyone can survey the Bible with a relatively easy “seek and find” approach. We hope that the user may find the Bible tool a useful instrument
